Circa 1837 Congressional Pension Report re: Revolutionary War Soldier

This is an original extraction from a Congressional Record published in 1838 regarding the 25th Congress 2d Session which lasted from December 6, 1837 to July 5th, 1838. It regards the pension claim of Daniel Davis, who served in the American Revolution in an artillery company commanded by Captain David Strout at Cape Elizabeth in the then District of Maine. The report indicates that he received pay & rations from Joseph Noyes, paymaster. Witnesses to his service mentioned include James Sawyer, John McLellan and Sarah Fernald, daughter of Captain Strout.
