This is an original Bible published in 1831 in Philadelphia by McCarty and Davis. It contains the Apocrypha plus tables of scripture weights, measures and coins. The Family Record pages have much information which we will attempt to transcribe as accurately as possible below:

Placed in the Bible are two period printed documents. One is dated Andover, September 1851 and entitled, "Lines for Mrs. J.B. Chapman". It is signed "J.F." Someone has written in period ink after the title, "written by my cousin J. Foote". and under the J.F. is "J Foote". It is a mourning poem. The second document is dated Warehouse Point, Jan., 1851. It is divided into two halves. One is entitled, "Lines on the Death of Albert B. Chapman" and the other is entitled, "Lines Written for Mrs. J.B. Chapman. Both writings were by L.M.B. Pease
